Snowball Music Festival

Today, November 30 marks the day that tickets for the Snowball Music Festival go on sale for $134.50. The early bird tickets (Which sold out within minutes) went for an astonishing $75.00.

2012 will be the second year the festival has been business, located in the Vail Valley. The festival last year pulled in over 10,000 fans for the outdoor winter event. The festival included three stages and one of the most diverse line-ups in festival history. Snowball is one of the first winter themed festival, since most festivals are planned around the summer months and the heat it brings.

Snowball brought in a surprisingly all-star line-up for the first year of its running. With head-liners such as Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, and The Flaming Lips, the amazing sounds did not even begin to stop there. Other Artists were as follows: Lotus, Brother Ali, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Big Gigantic, Afroman, Savoy, Portugal. The Man and countless others.

So far, the 2011 line-up has only revealed a few artists but the festival is already looking extremely promising. Rusko, Bassnectar, Elephant Revival, TV on Radio,  and the Unknown Mortal Orchestra are already setting the good vibes for the March weekend.

Here are some pictures and videos from last years festivities.
